Betty is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband of 65 years, Roy Nicholson, one son; Steve Nicholson and wife Becky of San Antonio Texas, one daughter; Pamela Davis and husband David of Waxahachie Texas, one sister; Doris Thomas of South Carolina, two granddaughters; Heather Durante of San Antonio Texas, Marlee Hamilton of Waxahachie Texas, and four great-children; Isack Ramirez, Alexis Ramirez, Brooklyn Wiegel and Courtney Wiegel.
From her birth, to her passing, Betty Jean nourished every person she came across with the utmost unconditional love and faith that came from her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her love for children led Betty to open her own daycare that she put everything she had into. Naturally, she was a devoted mother to her two children and spent her time loving Steve and Pamela to her fullest as they had children as well.
Betty’s nurturing light touched many and left a permanent, unforgettable imprint on many hearts. She loved serving and making friends in church. Betty was involved in church activities and wanted everybody to know Jesus and to understand how much He loved them. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
Betty’s family paid this tribute to her:
“Betty was one of the kindest people you could ever meet and loved her family more than words can begin to explain. She opened her heart and home to many over the years and will be sorely missed.”
