Linnie F. Lemley

Linnie F. Townsend Lemley, 84, of Carl Lee Ray Addition, Washington, W.Va., passed away May 9, 2005, at her home.

She was born March 16, 1921, at Belleville, a daughter of the late Chester and Mary Sellers Townsend. Linnie was a member of the Lubeck Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing cards and family games, bowling, spending time with family and shopping.

Surviving are two sons, Bill Lemley and his wife, Mary, and Larry "Butch" Lemley and his wife, Doris, all of Parkersburg; three daughters, Sharon Watters and her husband, Don, of Parkersburg, Kathy Ingram and her husband, Tim, and Shirley Hunt and her husband, Camden, all of Washington; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Geraldine Eaton of Belleville; several nieces and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Edna "Sis" Hively of Parkersburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. "Shorty" Lemley; a great-grandchild, Cullen Ingram; and four brothers, Vernice "Newt", Darrell "Bill", John and Charles Townsend.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lubeck Church of Christ with Evangelist Jason Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
