Anderson Service Set.
Mrs. Amy Anderson, 76, 226 S. Fourth St., died Thursday at an Osawatomie nursing home.
She was born July 19, 1893, at Springfield, Colo., to Isaac Davis and Celestia Gilkey Davis. She moved to Maple City as a teenager and spent most of her life there. She was married to Clarence A. Anderson on December 29, 1914, at Arkansas City and they made their home at Maple City where they owned and operated the grocery store. He died Jan. 7, 1940, and she moved to Arkansas City in 1943.
She was a member of the Maple City Church and a long time member of the Maple City Rebecca Lodge and the order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, Bernard M., of Falls Church, Va., and Ferrel J., of Joplin, Mo., one daughter, Mrs. Merton (Donna) Darnall of 1311 N. First St., one brother, John Davis of Lakeview, Ore., one sister, Mrs. Olive Stocksdale of Pasadena, Calif., nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Rindt Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don N. Swaim officiating. Burial will be in the Maple City cemetery.
She will lie in state from Saturday noon until Monday noon, and the casket wil not be opened at the service.
