Our beloved husband and father, Alan “Al” Horine, 68, passed away, Saturday, February 14, 2015 surrounded by his family. Knowing Al was quite an experience; his gift for storytelling kept us all entertained. Al never missed a Giants game he was a fan since childhood. Al had many different hobbies throughout the years but excelled at horticulture and took several classes in Bonsai classes at Cornell. His Bonsai Forest was photographed and published in a national magazine. He will be remembered by many for his enjoyment of gifting plants to friends and acquaintances. Al had a career in sales and was also co-owner of Binghamton Sun-Ray Heating.

He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Estelle Horine. Al is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandy “Sam”; his cherished daughter, Brittany and her finance, Andrew Herandez, Houston, Tex.; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Michael Cooney, Johnson City; nieces and nephews, Deborah and Kevin DePugh, Albany, Carol and Harold Peeling, Owego and Timothy Cooney, Johnson City. Al’s family cannot thank the Doctor’s and Staff of Wilson and Ideal enough for their compassion and level of care.
