Memphis - Mrs. Alice Clyde (Dean) Ward was born March 8, 1927 in Capleville, Tennessee, to the late Joe Dan Dean and Aliene Carter. She departed this life March 16, 2021, to begin anew. At a young age she confessed her belief in Jesus Christ at Burdette United Methodist Church where she was a loyal member. She united in holy matrimony to the late Leon Ward, Sr. February 10, 1951. Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her sons and daughters: Leon Ward, Jr., Sharon Ward, Adrian (Sandra) M. Ward, Cynthia (Leroy) L. Hart, Bessie F. Ward, Starlett Ward, Jarvis (Brendalyn) C. Ward, Ada (Jesse) Sandlin, and Philando Ward. Mrs. Alice C. Ward was preceded in death by five children: Jeromie Barnett, Herbert Barnett, Allean Colbert, Wendell Ward, and Orlando Ward; four sisters, Carrie Miles, Doris Jane Dean Williams, Bessie M. Bowen, and Helen P. Lampkins, and one brother, Joe Louis Dean, Jr. She was loved and adored by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
