THE DEATH OF MR. A. ORRELL

Death Came Suddenly As He Was Sitting On His Daughter's Porch In Bennettsville

Bennettsville, June 7 - A. L. Orrell died suddenly here this afternoon at the home of his son-in-law, Ruric N. Sampson, whom he was visiting. He was sitting on the porch chatting pleasantly with members of the family and Miss Annie Sampson was taking Kodak snapshots of them when he suddenly clasped his hand to his heart and became faint. His son, Charlie, who came this morning from Annapolis, Md., laid him down on the porch and he was dead before a physician could be summoned. Mr. Orrell was a North Carolinian but spent much of his life in Marlboro and Darlington.
