BEARD, DONALD LAWSON - Died 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 1991, at his residence in Bayou Sorrel. He was 71, a native of Urbana-Champaign, Ill. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Graveside services at Whittington Cemetery, Liberty, Miss., at 1 p.m. Thursday.
Survived by wife, Reda Randall Beard, Bayou Sorrel; a daughter, Reba Beard, Whittier, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Serena Haymon, Baton Rouge, and Diane Trum, Mobile, Ala.; three stepsons, Kenny Abess, Biloxi, Miss., Dwayne Randall, Hammond, and Cecil Wood, Denham Springs; agrandchild, Randy Laverne Beard, Whittier, N.C.; numerous step-granddaughters; and step-grandsons.
Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Ethel Beard; a stepdaughter, Jennie Tally; a sister, Louise Seth; and a brother, Wilson Beard.
He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Baton Rouge Stake, Plaquemine Branch.
Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, in charge of arrangements.
