She was born at Lowell on Dec. 22, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph Robert and Eva Thelma Samples Lively.
Mrs. Allen was a retired teacher's aide for the Monroe County Board of Education and a member of Wayside United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Deacon" Allen, and a brother, Charles Lively.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Nickolaus and her husband, Chuck, of Wayside; a granddaughter, Kristy Weikle and her husband, Joe, of Union; four great-grandchildren, Cody and Andrew Carter, and Niki and Scott Weikle, all of Union; and two brothers, Tom Lively and his wife, Della, of Beaver and David Lively and his wife, Mary, of Yorktown, Va.
Graveside rites will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Wayside Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Ratliff officiating.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Groves Funeral Home, Union.
