EUNICE, Louisiana
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Martin J. Babineaux announces his passing on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the age of 73. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata.

Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry, Celebrant.

Martin loved the New Orleans Saints and also enjoyed dancing to Elvis. Martin loved life, he brought joy and love to everyone. He never met a stranger, and everyone knew him. For many years he worked at Ray's Bakery. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his brother, Moise Babineaux and wife, Mildred of Mowata; his sister, Berna Mire of Eunice; brother-in-law, Leander Higginbotham of Church Point; sister-in-law, Rita Babineaux Guidry of Eunice as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tuise and Lorice (Cormier) Babineaux, siblings, Gus and Preston Babineaux and Bernice Higginbotham.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata on Tuesday, March 23rd from 9:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Tuesday.
