Mrs. Alice Oram, age 85, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. L. Franklin, 529 West Race street, Martinsburg, W.Va. She had been in ill health for the past five years.
She was born in Ijamsville, daughter of the late Moses and Cassie Smith. She had lived in New Market most of her life. Her husband, Albert Oram, preceded her in death 17 years ago. She was a member of Simpson Chapel Methodist Church in New Market. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Florence Cole, Harrisburg, Pa.; Mrs. Madessia Byrd, Philadelphia, Pa.; Mrs. R. L. Franklin, Martinsburg, W.Va.; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today at 1 p.m. in Simpson Chapel at New Market. Friends and relatives will meet at 529 West Race street at 11 a.m. before going to New Market. The body was removed from Rosemont Kogelschatz and Coffman Funeral Home, Martinsburg, Tuesday morning to the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. L. Franklin on Race street.
