Marian Cheree (Ledbetter) Headley
August 19, 1940 ~ December 24, 2020 (age 80)

Obituary
Marian Cheree Headley passed away on December 23, 2020, at the age of 80. "Cheree" was born to the Rev. Curtis and Daisy Ledbetter on August 19, 1940, in Dallas, Texas. She grew up in Dallas, spending much of her time in the Gospel Lighthouse Church with her family. She moved to Duncan, Oklahoma in her early teens. There, she enjoyed sewing, cooking and canning many of the foods that came from her family's garden. She met her spouse Glenn Headley and they were married on January 12, 1961. Together they raised 2 children, Marian Rene and Glenn Ray II, whom they loved very much. Throughout Cheree's life, she was known for her kindness and generosity, giving to those in need, even though many times she had so little to give herself. She worked as a Bookkeeper for many years until she retired from the state of Oklahoma in 2007. Cheree will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marian Cheree Headley is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, her daughter, Rene, and her parents Curtis and Daisy Ledbetter. Cheree is survived by her son, Ray and wife Laura Headley of Yukon, granddaughter Melissa and husband Jeremy Dillon of Austin, Texas, grandson, Matthew Headley of Yukon and a great grandson, Henry Dillon of Austin, her brother Rev. Ray Ledbetter and wife Dianna of Duncan, brother-in-law, Rev. Clyde Headley of Lawton, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Cheree's life will be remembered on March 20, 2021, at 2:00 PM at New Beginnings Family Worship Center (formerly Gospel Beams) in Duncan, Oklahoma. Cheree loved to tell stories and laugh, so be prepared to share one of your favorite memories of our precious mom and friend.

Services are under the direction of Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK. Officiated by Rev. Ray Ledbetter and Elder Bill Norman of Harrah, OK.
