MRS. H. B. MACK DEAD.

Mrs. H. B. Mack
died Saturday evening shortly after 7 o'clock at her home on 605 East Fifth street. She has been ill with the dread disease of consumption for several years. The funeral services were held this afternoon at the home, Rev. Guy, of Winfield, Kans., officiating. A large number of friends gathered to pay silent tribute to one whom they held dear. The remains were laid to rest in the Galena cemetery.

Mrs. Mack has been gradually sinking as the disease gained its hold upon her but she has always made a courageous fight against death. A brief six weeks ago her sister, Miss Stella Treat, passed away from the encroachments of the same unrelenting death and since that time Mrs. Mack has gradually faded away. She was taken to Phoenix, Ariz., recently by her husband, but the change only produced a worse effect and she was brought home a week ago. She leaves a devoted husband to whom sympathy is extended.
