MEHL, Joyce Eileen, age 88 of Fairborn, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 29, 2021. She was born to Connie and Cynthia Amburgey on February 21, 1933 in Middletown, OH. Joyce married James A. Mehl on June 12, 1952 and have celebrated 68 years of marriage together. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Johnston; three sisters, Katie Barr, Pauline Shane and Janice Harrison; step-mother, Edith Amburgey. She is survived by her husband, James Mehl; daughter, Vikki (Dave) Hill; sister-in-law, Cheryl Brock; half sister, Lois Lawson; step sister, Diane Lunsford; grandchildren, Aubrey, Dallas, Benjamin, Casey; great-grandchildren, Jase, Wyatt, Ayden, Matthew, Levi, Lydia, Ella, Cora. Joyce spent 10 years in a children's home in Hamilton, Ohio before living with Glenn and Ruby Acuff for a year before marrying the love of her life. She went on to be a very successful district manager for Avon and spent her life in various ministries serving her Lord faithfully until she went into the nursing home in March of 2017. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 9-11am at Burcham Tobias Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11am with Pastor Dave Hill presiding. Interment will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio.
