LD Franklin, age 85 of Livingston passed from this life on March 30, 2021 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born in Alpine, Tennessee on January 1, 1936 - the 10th of 11 children - to the late Andy and Hattie Sells Franklin.
LD enjoyed spending time outdoors walking in the woods. He enjoyed sports - especially football. His grandchildren were the light of his life.
LD leaves behind his wife: Judy Savage Franklin, son: Scott (Lesia) Franklin, all of Livingston; daughter: Lesa Franklin of Nashville; grandchildren: Beverly (Bobby) Brown of Hilham and David (Meg) Franklin of Lebanon; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Brown, Bailey Brown, and Landon Franklin.
In addition to his parents, LD was preceded in death by his brothers: Price (Myrtie) Franklin, Joe Franklin, Ray (Jewel) Franklin, Bud (Thelma) Franklin, Leroy Franklin, and Charles Hue (Polly) Franklin; sisters: Ola (Howard) Coffman, Edith Franklin, Zola Franklin, and Nola Franklin.
Celebration of Life Services were held Saturday, April 3, 2021 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. James Shenko officiating. Burial was held at a later date at the Hill Gunter Cemetery.
