Cheryl M. Carroll, 36, Columbia City, died at 1:43 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 23, 2007) at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Carroll was employed at Zimmer in Warsaw and formerly worked at Fort Wayne Foundry in Columbia City. She was a 1990 graduate of Huntington North High School and had lived in Bluffton and Linn Grove before moving to Columbia City in 2004.

She was born Jan. 18, 1971, in Bluffton, to William J. and Bonnie L. Stout Brown. Her marriage was on July 7, 2000, to John D. Carroll. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents and stepparents, William and Pamela Brown of Fort Wayne and George and Bonnie Etie of San Leon, Texas; a son, Carl J. Hardin, and a daughter, Alyssa May Hardin, both of Columbia City; two stepdaughters, Ashley Weiss of Fredericktown, Ohio, and Brittany Carroll of Columbia City; two brothers, Kevin W. Brown of Columbia City and Thomas John Brown of Huntington; a half-brother, Randy Martin of Monroe; a stepsister, Amy Bayliss of Wabash; and a stepbrother, Tony Stevens of Huntington.

CHERYL M. CARROLL, 36, a resident of Columbia City, died at 1:43 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born January 18, 1971 in Bluffton, Indiana a daughter of William J. and Bonnie L. (Stout) Brown. In the mid 1980s she moved to Huntington. She graduated from Huntington North High School in 1990.

After completing her education she returned to Bluffton, later moving to Linn Grove and then to Columbia City in 2004.

She was currently employed at Zimmers in Warsaw and formerly employed at Fort Wayne Foundry in Columbia City.

On July 7, 2006 she was united in marriage to John D. Carroll. They have always made their home in Columbia City.

Surviving relatives include her husband, John; two children, Alyssa May Hardin and Carl J. Hardin, both of Columbia City; two step daughters, Ashley Weiss of Fredericktown, Ohio and Brittany Carroll of Columbia City; her parents, William & Pamela Brown of Fort Wayne and Bonnie & George Etie of San Leon, Texas; two brothers, Kevin W. Brown of Columbia City and Thomas John Brown of Huntington; a half brother, Randy Martin of Monroe; a step sister, Amy Bayliss of Wabash; and a step brother, Tony Stevens of Huntington.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Katelynne Louann Carroll and Cheyenne Taylorlynne Carroll.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2007 at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and also from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Katelynne Louann Carroll and Cheyenne Taylorlynne Carroll.

Calling is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 207 N. Main St., Columbia City, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday.


Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City.
