Henry Clay Agnew, 58, a retired barber, died Friday in a private hospital. He lived at 7545 Old National Highway, Rte. 1, Fairburn. The retired owner of Agnew's Barber Shop on Sylvan Road SW in Atlanta, Mr. Agnew was a charter member of the St. Andrew's Methodist Church in College Perk, where he had served as past chairman of the Methodist Men's Club and the Trustees.

Born in Canton, on 15 Sep 1908, he had lived in Fairburn for two years. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the St. Andrews Methodist Church. The Rev. Howard Griffin Jr. will officiate and burial will be in Westview Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Doyal; five daughters, Mrs. Carl E. Malcom, Decatur; Mrs. Mary Cates, Forest Park; Mrs. C. E. Becker, Maryville, Tenn. ; Mrs. James E. Winkles, Whiteman AFB, Mo., and Mrs. T. J. Ivey, College Park; two sisters, Mrs. T. E. Beavers, Austell, and Mrs. Tom Lasseter, Atlanta, and three brothers, Waco Agnew, Canton; L. E. Agnew, Charleston, W.V., and Joe Agnew, Lavonia.
