Thomas "Tom" A. Abrams, 74, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021, at NHC Desloge, MO. He was born in Piedmont, MO, on February 7, 1947, to parents Robert Phillip and Ruby Lucille (Lamborn) Abrams.
Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He drove a truck for many years for Paul Keys Trucking Company. He attended Church of Christ in Piedmont until his illness. Tom proudly served our country in the United States Navy, earning numerous medals. He had a great passion for music and was an avid musician and singer for over twenty years. He had played music with Merle Haggard, Waylan Jennings and several other bands. He had also played music at Disney Land in CA. In later years Tom chose to settle down back home in Piedmont. He owned and operated an auto body shop in Piedmont for many years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Donald Abrams.
Tom is survived by his loving wife and companion of forty-one years, Linda Hall; children: Robert Abrams of Des Arc, Jenny Abrams of Portland, OR; grandchildren: Ian Abrams, Conner Abrams, Cody Reinecker, David Barnhart, Nickohlas Adams, Coliia Adams; brother: Eugene Abrams and wife Lana of Doniphan; sister: Martha Mills of Fenton, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Tom will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, March 22, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, also in the Piedmont chapel, with full military honors. Burial will follow at Missouri State Veteran Cemetery, Bloomfield, MO.
