Lyle Draper Crawford, 97, of Pasadena Texas born August 28, 1923 in Whitesboro , Texas to Paul F. Crawford and Lois Wells went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 31,2021. He was preceded in death by his wife Bertrena of which they were married for 65 years. He is survived by his daughter Collette Burgess and her husband Darry of Alvin, TX. and son Cody Crawford of Pasadena, Tx. 4,grandchildren Nacole,Dewayne,Daniel, & Jeremy & 7 great-grandchildren who all loved their Great-Pawpaw very much.

Lyle was a charter member of Thomas Ave & Monument Baptist Churches. He became a Deacon in Oct. 1966. and was a faithful and active servant to the Lord a fisherman of men. He graduated Denison High School in 1940 then joined the navy from 1942-1946 and was an Aviation metalsmith on Naval aircraft. He then went to Texas Tech & graduated in 1950 with BS in Industrial Engineering.

He moved to Pasadena in 1950 and went to work for Armco Steel as a lead chemist for 31 years and retired in June 1982. After retiring he enjoyed fixing up bikes for all the neighborhood kids and spending time with his family and going to church.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6th from 5 pm to 8 pm at Grandview Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 7th at 2 pm in the chapel of Grandview Funeral Home with Interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
