Ms. Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" Newton, age 71, of Pleasure Ridge Park returned to her Heavenly Father on April 5, 2021. Ms. Newton was born on November 24, 1949 in Louisville, KY to the late Elias & Nell (Spalding) Newton. Ms. Newton was a retired sign language interpreter working with the Louisville Association of the Deaf. She was a Catholic by faith. Among those that preceded her in death are her parents; and siblings, Michael & Mary Ann Newton. She leaves to cherish her memory her siblings ; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Friday, April 9, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association and/or the Louisville Association of the Deaf.
