Tina was born alongside twin sister Tricia on February 1, 1928, to Leslie and Lillian (Briggs) Amidon in Saginaw. They were the only girls sharing their childhood with five brothers. Tina married Karl Wagner on January 1, 1951; together they had two children and ran their farm in Grawn. Tina also pursued other career choices, mainly as a nurse's attendant at the Traverse City State Hospital. Tina and Karl remained happily married until his passing in 2003.
Tina was a member of the Farm Bureau Community Action Group and the Grawn United Methodist Church. While she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and cooking by day, her true passion was that of a card shark by night. No matter how trivial the game or how small the ante, she played to win, even in to the wee hours of the morning.
Her parents, her loving husband, Karl, and her brothers, Lt. Col. Ervin (Patricia), Carl (Fran), Leonard (Helen), Arthur (Marilyn), Cliff (Jeannette), and twin sister, Tricia Amidon Cook proceeded her in death.
Tina's survivors include her children, Brent (Peggy) Wagner and Brenda (John) Leavens; grandchildren, Paul (Amanda) Wagner, Chad (Rebecca) Tyson, and Adam (Betsy) Wagner. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Grawn United Methodist Church, in Grawn, with Pastor Sean Barton officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroe Center Cemetery in Grawn. Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until time of services at the church.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
