Carolyn Musick Platt, age 84, of Crockett, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Winfield Rehab and Nursing Center, Crockett, Texas. Carolyn was born the youngest of twelve children on August 29, 1936 in Grapeland to James "Jim" Musick and Lela Pearl Baker Musick. She was a loving wife, mother, granny, and aunt, always giving of her time for friends and family. Carolyn was known as "Mamma Platt" to many, as she served as Girl Scout leader, PTA leader, band mom, cheerleader mom, Sunday school teacher and church camp counselor. She was a member of San Pedro Baptist Church in Grapeland.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Denise Ynguanzo; parents, Jim and Pearl Musick; brothers, Reuben, Joseph, Charles, Marvin, Medwin, Nig and Red Musick; sisters, Ruth Bunyard, Alma Leen Ellisor, and Verzona Dial.

Funeral services for Carolyn Musick Platt will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Jim Bob Gunnels and Rev. Brad Riza officiating. Interment to follow at Denson Cemetery.
