This is a virtual memorial, and an assumed burial. There is no known death record or physical burial for this person.

Michael Jacobi (176?-181?) and his wife Elizabeth (1760-1839) are in early Trexlertown Church records as being the parents of several children born prior to 1800. They lived in Macungie or nearby from the time of their marriage, which I am assuming was between 1782-1784, until their decease.

Due to the lack of records from that time, and the hornets nest of Jacoby lines in Lehigh, it is my best guess that Michael is the son of Nicholas Jacobi (1737), or possibly his brother Michael (1735). Both appear to have arrived in 1753, and were naturalized in 1765, in the Longswamp area of Berks County (just southwest of Trexlertown).

The first record of the brothers is in Rockland Township, Berks County, in early tax records for 1758. By 1772, Nicholas had moved east to the area of Emmaus/Allentown, while Michael (Sr) appears to have stayed in or near Longswamp in Berks.

Michael's place of birth is therefore assumed to be Berks County, between 1761-1763. This dating comes from his given age in census records. He last appears in the 1810 census, so death is assumed to be between 1811-1819, unless the family missed the census for both 1820 and 1830.

Michael (Jr), our subject, married Elizabeth Weller about 1783. Interestingly, she was likely born in Berks, (I am assuming parentage to Peter Weller), possibly near Oley, but the family may have moved east to Hereford, south of Longswamp. Possibly they attended the Old Zionsville Church, but I havent yet found a reference.

Michael first appears in Trexlertown Records at the birth of his first known daughter Elizabeth in 1785, and in the subsequent years after, Johannes in 1788, Magdelena in 1790, George in 1791, Margaretha in 1793, and Peter in 1799. Likely there were one or two other children between 1793 and 1799 that died after 1800. (Note: there is no baptism found for George in 1791, or Peter in 1799).

Michael Jacobi's presence in tax records for Salisbury/Macungie begin in 1785. He was in the 1790 census for Salisbury, which I believe puts him living closer to eastern area of Macungie closer to Allentown), and the 1800 and 1810 censuses for Macungie.

Of note, Trexlertown Church is equi-distant between Emmaus and Longswamp.

Also appearing in the Macungie and Trexlertown records is an assumed brother or cousin to Michael, Peter Jacoby, who appears in tax records in 1788, and the 1790 census for Macungie. Peter must have been born prior to 1768, as he appears in tax records in 1788. Since Michael Sr had a son Peter in 1774, this would make the younger Peter a probable son of Nicholas. Mention of this Peter disappears after 1793, so there is no way to determine his exact age or connection.

The 1790 census indicates a son and two daughters for Michael and Elizabeth, which is in keeping with known children Elizabeth, Johannes and Magdelena. In the 1800 census, Michael has 4 sons under 10 and two daughter 10 or older. This indicates to me that Margaretha, his daughter born in 1793, likely died before 1800, and that there might have had been two more sons between 1793-1799. The 1810 census indicates only one young daughter, (possibly Peter), meaning that all of their older children were either married or hired out to work elsewhere.

Out of six known children, the only one I cannot account for is Elizabeth, who I assume was married before 1810. All of the others can be found living in Macungie or the Allentown area. Elizabeth Weller Jacoby appears to be living with George in 1820. She died in 1839, and is buried in Trexlertown, therefore I am assuming burial for Michael there as well.
