Thirza (Prattemore) Martin, born May 28, 1847, Marriott, England. She was united in marriage in England July 22, 1872 with Thomas Martin.
They emigrated to America, Terre Haute, Indiana, then moved to Iowa and later settling at Phoenix, Oregon and then to Ashland, Oregon and on July 5, 1884 moved to Linkville, Oregon. They were the parents of Mary Annie born Sept. 6, 1873 and died Jan. 28, 1890; Samuel Edward born Dec. 7, 1874; Nellie Honor, died in infancy in Illinois, Charles Jospeh born Nov. 30, 1879; Sarah Elizabeth born Dec. 26, 1882, (the widow of Carey M. Ramsby); John Henry, born March 29, 1884; Thirza Mae Jan. 12,1889; Maude Augusta, born March 17, 1891 (widow of Ermay Leo Hosley). She assisted her neighbors in sickness and was loved by all who knew her.
