She was born on May 29, 1979 in Akron, the daughter of John W. and Carol Graf Meyer.
Shannon grew up in Green and graduated from Green High School in 1998; she also attended KSU.
Survivors include her parents of Akron; her husband, Donald Alexander, Sr.; her children, Anastasia, Josephine, and Carol; her step-sons, Donald Alexander, Jr. and Justin (Michelle) Alexander and their children, Tracy, Daysha Alexander; her brother, Mason (Megan) Meyer; and her nephews, Ian Kaufman and Christopher Meyer.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Rev. Louis Thomas will celebrate Shannon's life. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
