BLACK, Allen L., passed away July 17, 1995 in Mercy Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Frances, 2 daughters Joyce Lee Stone of Carson City, NV and Lois Rae Bennett of Tucson, AZ, his sister Laura Long of Saluda, So. Carolina, 3 granddaughters, 4 grandsons & 6 great grandchildren. Allen was born Oct. 8, 1911 in Saluda, So. Carolina, he joined the US Navy July 8, 1929. He served 27 years and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of the East San Diego Masonic Lodge +561, a charter member and past Commander of the American Legion Post 460 with a life membership. A member of the Honor Society of 40/8 Voyager +1406 and member of the past Commander's Club of California. He has lived in San Diego since 1938. Viewing Wed. 4-8 p. m. Funeral Service & Entombment with Military Honors Thurs. 2 pm all at Cypress View Mortuary & Mausoleum. 264-3168. In lieu of flowers family suggest donations be made to San Diego Heart Assn or the Lung Research Center
