She married Jack Blanchett on May 29, 1955 in Dodge City. He preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 2020. Nancy enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, quilting and restoring furniture in her spare time. She was a very loving care giver taking care of her daughter Renata until her passing and then caring for her husband Jack until his passing. Nancy took in several area children even caring for them as if they were her own children.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Dodge City, PEO, Bas Bleu Study Club and Monday Bridge Club.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Bill) Brand of Colwich, KS.; two brothers, David (Lyla) Milford of Deland, Florida and Michael (Connie) Milford of St. George, Utah; two sisters, Rose (Nate) English of Oklahoma City, OK. and Kathy (Michael) Harris of Garden City, KS.; six grandchildren, Corey and Ryan Blanchett, Jackie Dugan, Jake, Luke and Mac Brand, and one great grandchild, Harley Blanchett and one daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Jim) Simmons of Wichita, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Chuck Blanchett and a daughter, Renata Blanchett and one great granddaughter, Addison Dugan.
Funeral services will be at the First Christian Church on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. with Dusty Cookson presiding. Memorials to Open door Missions led by Tito Pel in care of Swaim Funeral Home.
