Wilson Leo Abell, of Faulkner, MD died on September 19, 2014 at his residence with Hospice. He was 81 years old.

Mr. Abell was a florist for 40 plus years with Blackiston Florist in Washington, DC and Waldorf Florist and McKay's Florist.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Chapel Point, MD. He was a bird lover and liked yard sales, thrift stores, antiques, flowers, and having parties (especially at Christmas time). In his earlier years (age 16-30), he had been a Franciscan Brother with the Franciscan Monastery in Washington, DC. His favorite expression to others was "Pretty good– not too bad."

He is the son of the late James Abell and the late Mary Davis Abell. He is also predeceased by his beloved companion, Harry Baker; three brothers, James, Joseph, and Frank Abell; and one sister, Mary Blanche Boarman.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Rosemary Abell; six nephews, Rocky, Ricky, Chris, Jay, Mike, and Jamie Abell; 10 nieces, Linda Garvey, Peggy Estevez, Janet Williams, Kathy Wells, Suzanne O'Connor, Charlotte Scaggs, Mary Johnson, Becky Snipes, Penny Saavedra, and Judy Cusic. Also survived by many great nieces, nephews, and great-greats.

Friends received on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at the St. Ignatius Chapel Point Catholic Church, 8855 Chapel Point Road, Port Tobacco, MD 20677. Interment will be private. Arrangements by Raymond Funeral Service in La Plata, MD.
