William Brock married Temperance Ann Gay, daughter of Allen Gay. They raised 8 children near Palmetto, Georgia. I have a copy of a letter William wrote about 3 months before he died. The letter was to his son, James Daniel Brock, who died at the Battle of Cold Harbor.

Known children of William and Temperance Brock: Fairby Caroline, Sarah, Allen Gay, John Ross, William Thomas, Charlotte Emaline, James Daniel, and Washington Marion

James Daniel died at the battle of Cold Harbor and was buried by men in his unit. John Ross and Washington Marion went to Arkansas. Charlotte Emeline died in Mississippi and some of her family went to Arkansas.

William was my GGGgrandfather. He fought in the Indian Wars.
Temperance is in the 1870 Coweta County Mortality Schedule. It said she died at home.
