Katherine M. Peebles, at age 93, of Weston, educational consultant November 17, 2018 at 12:00 a.m.:

Katherine Merle (Reese) Peebles of Weston died Feb. 7. She was 93.
Mrs. Peebles was born in Memphis, Tenn.
She was in the class of 1945 of Wellesley College, where she majored in English and studied journalism. She returned to Wellesley College and completed her bachelor's degree in 1964. She earned her master's degree at Boston University.

Mrs. Peebles was the founder and director of the Meadowbrook Day Camp in Weston and Valentine Vision, an international charity aimed at educating children about world hunger.

She was the director of admissions and financial aid at Wheelock College, dean of student activities at Wellesley College, assistant to the president at Bennett College in Millbrook, N.Y., and later worked as an educational consultant.

Mrs. Peebles enjoyed playing musical instruments, planting flowers, cooking chowder and opera.

Widow of the late Thomas C., Mrs. Peebles is survived by three children, M'Lou, Jamie and Doug; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
