John Lundblad, a well known resident of Ben Wade, died at his home Tuesday morning Dec 21, at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 9 days. He had been ailing, more or less, the last year, but was not bedfast until the very last days of his illness, suffering with diabetes.
Deceased was born June 12, 1963, in VasterGotland, Sweden, and came to America in May, 1883, locating on a farm in Ben Wade the same year. He was an active member of the Ben Wade Mission church and was always willing to do his part for his Master and Lord. He was a devoted husband and father and leaves to mourn his death a faithful wife and nine children: Clifford of Kensington, Walter, Ralph, Mrs Oscar Anderson, Mabel, Emma, Arthur, Ruby and Paul of Farwell, and a brother in Sweden.
Funeral services were held at the Ben Wade Mission church Thursday afternoon, Dec 24, Rev Skoglund officiating. Many neighbors and friends were there to show him their last respects and many floral offerings were in evidence.
