Bobby Jack Tuttle, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2021. A native of Stokes County, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Robert Jack Tuttle; daughter, Linda Parris Tuttle; his mother, Lula Parris Tuttle; father, Tom Tuttle; five brothers, Tom Jr., Ronald, Ralph, Roger and Baby Tuttle; and three sisters, Margie Duncan, Mary Peay, and Kathryn England.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth; daughters, Teresa Riddle (husband Danny) and Nancy Jo Tuttle; son, Tony Tuttle; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bobby worked for L.W. Routh Construction Co. and contracted for Duke Power as a lineman and foreman. He was founder of Edneyville General Store, part owner of L.P.T. Hardware, and owner of Tuttle Hardware. Bobby was a Navy Veteran and a lifetime member of the American Legion #77 and the Elks #1616. He was a member of the Edneyville United Methodist Church and had many friends at Fruitland Methodist Church.

Bobby enjoyed signing, especially in church with his wife, and he had a wonderful voice. He also enjoyed dancing, always competing with Jim Kesterson- they had a lot of fun together. He had many wonderful, loving friends: Charles and Gail Laughter, Luther and Joann Cox, Guy and Teresa Beal, and preachers, J. D. Amason, Jerry Warren and Walt Christian.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the William Dalton Scholarship Fund, and the Edneyville Methodist Cemetery Fund.

A visitation will be held at Shuler Funeral Home on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 5-7pm. A graveside service will be held at Edneyville Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 2pm.
