KENNEDY, Ava Nell Ava Nell Brand Kennedy was born in Cumby, Texas on September 23, 1939 to Aza and Larnce Brand. She peacefully entered into the arms of our Lord on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Ava had a long successful career in Advertising and later in Real Estate. She was a loving example to her family and friends by always being there to help others. She supported numerous causes and joyfully volunteered at her church in many areas. Ava's husband, Bill Kennedy, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, James Todd Ball and wife Kim. She also leaves behind granddaughter, Ashley Ball; her brother, Thomas Brand and wife Brenda; sister, JoAnn Honeycutt; niece, Angela Rodriguez; nephews, Cameron Brand and Adam Brand; grand nieces, Faith Rodriguez and Beatrix Brand; and grandnephew, Alister Brand. A memorial service will be held at Saint Anne Episcopal Church in DeSoto, TX on Thursday, January 18th at 2pm.
