Lovina married Jesse 31 Mar 1812 in Springfield, Hampden County, Mass., and they had seven children together who they raised in Stevensville, Bradford County, Penn. The weeping willow tree that covers the top of their stone commonly symbolize "both mourning for the loss of earthly life and the joy of celestial life." She was a devout Presbyterian and good mother.
