Born in Olyphant he was the son of the late Maxim and Mary Sheptack Kirtack. He graduated from Olyphant schools and was a US Army veteran of World War II serving in the European Theater of Operations. He was employed after the war as a machine operator at Billig Shoe, Golo Footwear, Corrugated Box in Scranton, and retired from Giant Markets. He has resided in Montdale the last 51 years. He was a former member of St. Cyrils Church, Olyphant, and Corpus Christi Church, Montdale.
He is survived by two daughters; Ann Kirtack and companion Paul Bushta, Jessup and Barbara Oliver and husband Carl, Lawton, Oklahoma, four grandchildren; Carl, Patrick, David and Mary Oliver, and two sisters; Lucy Gasper and Helen Kirtack, both of Olyphant, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Alex, Paul and John Kirtack.
