YOUNG MOTHER LEAVES FAMILY TO MOURN LOSS
Mrs. Lee Nance, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Whitaker, After an Illness of Six Months Passes Away – She Leaves Husband and Four Little Children – Sheridan Final Resting Place.
Mrs. Lee Nance, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Whitaker, of this city, died at the home of her parents, at 1 o'clock, Monday afternoon, aged 25 years.
She had been suffering for some time with a complication of diseases and leaves her husband and four children, Helen, Ralph, Leewaymen, and Elizabeth, besides her parents, and one brother, Jess, and a sister, Bessie, to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Nance was born at Alexandria, Nebraska, July 23, 1895, and moved with her parents to this city in 1896. She attended the Auburn High school and on March 12, 1915 she was united in marriage to M[r]. Nance.
She was a devoted daughter to her parents and a loyal good mother. All those who knew her regarded her as a good-hearted, sympathetic neighbor and friend. She had been ailing for the past six months but this did not prevent her from manifesting the same cheerful disposition she had in health, and in ministering to the wants of her children and family, who were very dear to her.
The funerla took place from the home of her brother, Jesse Whitaker, at 10 o'clock, Wednesday morning, and were conducted by the Rev. Harold F. Carr. Burial was at Sheridan cemetery.
