"Walter J. Prescott, 79, of 407 N. Mount Joy St., Elizabethtown, died unexpectedly early Tuesday at his home. He had been under the care of a physician. He was the husband of Estella Smith Prescott for 55 years. In 1970, he retired from John E. Fullerton Inc., Elizabethtown, where he was employed in the office for 10 years. Prior to that, he worked for the Harrisburg Lumber Co. for 20 years. A lifetime resident of the Bainbridge area, he was a member of Bainbridge Church of God, where he served as treasurer and elder for over 40 years and taught an adult Bible class for over 30 years. Born in Bainbridge, he was a son of the late Jacob P. and Mabel Jacks Prescott. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters: Dorothy, wife of James H. Kuntzelman, Elizabethtown; Joyce, wife of Glenn R. Miller, Heath, Ohio; and Nancy, wife of Kenneth L. Kauffman, Bainbridge R1; two sons, Roy E., Camp Hill, and Richard W., Bainbridge; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren."
