Candler H. Colquitt, 83, of Ocala FL passed away Saturday April 17, 2021. Born in Tampa, FL Candler moved to Ocala in 1962, the same year he married Mary Marie Cornell his beloved wife of 37 years. Candler was a veteran of the US Army in both active duty and Reserves. He was also an Office Manager with Ocala Natural Gas. Candler is survived by his children Ronald Colquitt, Deborah (Lou) Chabarria, and Steven (Jacqueline) Colquitt, as well as his grandchildren Joseph (Mina) High, Jessica (Chris) Naylor, Dara (Matt) Hugo, Travis Greene, Justin (MacKenzie) Colquitt, Michael Colquitt and 7 great-grandchildren. During his life Candler was a huge Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan! He loved amusement parks, especially Disney, and enjoyed the Silver Springs Summer Concerts. Candler also enjoyed taking trips to the beach every summer. He is greatly loved, and will be deeply missed, by his family and many friends whose lives he touched. Services will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Ocala, on Saturday, April 24th at 11:30 AM. Graveside services will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala at 1:00 PM. Arrangements by Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala.
