Buddy Alberson, age 62, passed away April 19, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was born February 3, 1959 in Advance, Missouri, son of the late Cedar and Anetha Jackman Alberson.
Buddy was a lifelong farmer, only recently retiring from Alberson Farms. An avid outdoorsman, he often enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as collecting firearms. He was also a tournament pool player and participated for many years in drag racing at Sikeston Drag Strip.
On April 20, 1977 he married Lucy Stokes Alberson, she survives of the home in Vanduser, Missouri.
Other survivors include two sons, 'Little' Buddy Alberson of Jefferson City, Missouri and Andy Alberson of New York, New York; two sisters, Karen (David) Tropf of Advance, Missouri and Renauta Alberson of Vanduser, Missouri.
There will be a visitation held Friday, April 23, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held Saturday, April 24, at 12:00 p.m.
Burial will follow at the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Kent Bailey, Terry Fields, Tom Green, Darris McIntyre, Mike Schrader, and David Tropf.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Burton, Eddie Dockins, and Billy Freeman.
