He was the son of John Wesley Wright and Mary "Polly" Welch. He 1st married Clara Ellen Gray. They had two children who died in infancy. He 2nd married Annie Ellen Stockdale. Children: Hazel Harbin, Forrest Evans "Ev", Wilfred Dean "Wick", Harold Edgar and Nellie Mae "Nell". He 3rd married Mary Lucretia Rose. Children: Bessie Pearl, Daniel Louis, Walter Davis, Wilmer Thomas "Jim", Delmar Louie "Herb", and Claude Loraine. He 4th married Eva Rosa Ford.

Great Grandpa Jerome was a retired farmer and a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. He moved to Madison in 1945. According to a cousin, he had a large Bible that he carried around and often got into debates with his brother Alph. My dad said that one of his favorite things to eat was oatmeal. He said he would eat a full meal and then go make oatmeal.
