Services were held Friday from the Osgood Funeral Home for Albert John Thompson, 59, R-1, St. Johns, who passed away Feb. 24, 1953 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for a long time.
Rev. W.E. Weaver officiated and internment was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ovid.
Mr. Thompson was born in Ovid Township, December 6, 1893 the son of Joshua and Ida Mae Thompson. Most of his life was spent in Clinton County. He was married to Marian Warner in St. Johns on Nov. 09, 1914. Mr. Thompson was a cement worker and builder.
Surviving besides the widow, Marian; are a brother , Alton Thompson of Laingsburg; two sisters Mrs. John Noble of Warehouse Point, Conn., and Mrs. Gladys Darling of Ovid; the step-mother, Mrs, Eva Thompson of West Palm Beach, FL, 11 children, Mrs. R.G. Speidel of St. Johns, Rev. Charles Thompson of East Jordan, Mrs. Lloyd Myers of Fowler, Ward W. of Lansing, SGT. Florian Thompson of Minnesota, Mrs. O. H. Johnson of Dayton OH, A/2c Leon Thompson, Air Force; Mrs. August Rummery, of Holt, Walter, Joan and Bruce at home; and 20 grandchildren.

Death Certificate says he died from Pulmonary Hemorhage and Cancer of Lung. Length of time unknown. He was a Stone Mason.
