She married Anson Harmon Dafoe (1844-1927) on 20 Jul 1865 and they had 3 children: Charles Philip (1866-1892); Iday May (1871-1969); and Frank Raymond (1874-1954). Caroline divorce Anson in early 1891 and on 12 Nov 1891 she married John McLaury (1840–1930).
