The daughter of Thomas W. and Myrtle (Hotchkiss) All, she was born Sept. 5, 1918, in the town of Kortright, was a graduate of Hobart High School (1936) and Delhi College (1938) and married Christian "Chris" Pedersen on Sept. 21, 1940.
A homemaker, Ethel lived in East Meredith for 60 years, where she served as postmaster (1966-82), was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and had been active in the Charlotte Valley PTA in earlier years, moving to the Sidney-Bainbridge area seven years ago.
Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Chris Pedersen; four children, Ellen Leggett, Columbia, S.C., Thomas (Mary) Pedersen, Otego, Miriam (Gary) Harris, Bainbridge, and Charles (Patricia) Pedersen, Loveland, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great- and two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ward (Mary) All, Castleton, Willard (Gloria) All, Harpersfield, and Eugene All, Bloomville; a sister, Ruth (Stanley) Nygard, Grand Gorge; and a sister-in-law, Myrtle All, Bloomville; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Albert, Lambert and Kenneth All; and a sister, Phyllis Hobert.
