Interred December 1, 1914; grave location unknown although thought to be near wife Clara Jane (nee CADY) PRITCHETT and son John Lester PRITCHETT. See attached death certificate. Please note James was not born in West Virginia. He was born in the southwestern corner of Virginia at Seven Mile Ford in Smyth County.

They are, back row, left to right: U. S. Navy Lt. Glenn Ferris Pritchett, 40, Los Angeles; Richard George Pritchett, 38, Las Vegas, NV; Mrs. Lorrene Bykerk, 31, the only girl, Tucson; Edward, 19 stationed at San Diego; and Charles William, 17, Prescott. Front row, Mark 3, Wiley 6, Kenneth 8, Fred 11, James Coit 12, and Walter 15, all of Prescott. The children have three different mothers." Contrary to the death certificate, James D. PRITCHETT was not born in "West Virginia". James was born in southwestern Virginia, 7 Mile Ford, Smyth County in 1849. Additionally, 1850 Federal Census for Smyth County, Virginia (VA) states James D. was age 01 and was born in Virginia, as were all his siblings. The informant "John PRITCHETT" is his second son, one John Lester PRITCHETT who is also interred in this same cemetery. Additionally, James wife, Clara Jane (nee CADY) PRITCHETT who predeceased James by 11 years, is interred in Double (Twin) Butte.
