Evelyn L. Fribley, 81 of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:19 A.M. in her home in the care of her family.
Evelyn was born the daughter of Estel Huffman and Doris Creighbaum Huffman on August 20, 1930 at Etna Green, IN.
She was a resident of the Etna Green area most of her life. She was a graduate of Etna Green High School class of 1948 and she retired in 1990 from United Telephone Company after 21 years of service. She was first a telephone operator then a supervisor then she moved into the alarm center. She was a faithful member of the Etna Green United Methodist Church. On June 13, 1948 she married Carl E. "Sandy" Fribley who died March 29, 1990.
She is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia and spouse Michael O'Dowd of Indianapolis, Christina and spouse Randall Minnicus of Broomfield, Col., Cathy and spouse Kenneth Foltz of Milford and her two sons; Gary and spouse Linda Fribley of Atwood and Neil and spouse Kim Fribley of Schererville, IN, along with ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Fribley, a granddaughter, Chasidy Foltz, a grandson, Lance Corporal David Fribley, a sister; Miriam Long and a brother, Glenn Huffman.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 10 A.M. - Noon at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504. Funeral services will follow at Noon Thursday in the Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Lampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Etna Green Cemetery at Etna Green, IN.
