SHIRLEY HORNER passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007 at her home in Belton, TX, formally a Houston resident for over 45 years. She was born Jan. 31, 1928 in Granite City, IL. She worked for the International Shoe Company, where she met Thomas Horner, they were married March 22, 1952 in Ft. Worth. She was a homemaker, a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a long time member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church and currently a member of Foundation United Methodist in Belton. She was an avid cook and loved gardening. Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, she is survived by two sons Mark Horner of Katy and Tim Horner of Stafford; one daughter Cindy O'Hern of Belton; Grandsons, Bryan Horner, Christopher Horner, Larkin O'Hern and Scott O'Hern. Visitation with family & friends will be held Thursday, November 1st, 6 PM until 8 PM at home of Tim Horner. Funeral services will be held November 2nd at 3 PM Friday at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel in Houston. Burial will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Scott and White Hospice 2401 South 31st Street Temple, Texas 76508.
