Ella Nora Bennett was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Bennett and Mary Elizabeth Bennett. She married Charles J. Grant and they had ten children.

Last rites for Mrs. Ella Grant at Duck Hill

Last rites for Mrs. Ella Nora Bennett Grant were held March 15 from the Duck Hill Baptist Church. Rev. W. W. Stevens of Clinton assisted by Rev. Arthur Sledge of Duck Hill officiated.

Mrs. Grant died March 13 at the North Mississippi Retirement Home in Grenada after a lengthy illness.

Burial was in the Duck Hill Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born in Montgomery County, February 6, 1883, Mrs. Grant was married to C. J. Grant in 1901 who survives. She was a member of the Duck Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of Duck Hill; three daughters, Mrs. John W. Ross, Duck Hill, Mrs. D. W. Adams, Louisville, Kentucky, Mrs. J. M. Bloodworth, Duck Hill; six sons, Leonard E. Grant, Isola, Jesse Grant and Leslie Grant, Duck Hill, Luther J. Grant, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cecil W. Grant, Humbolt, Tennessee and Carl J. Grant, Memphis, Tennessee; two sisters, Mrs. Donie Alldread, Duck Hill, Mrs. Jessie Duren, Poplar Grove, Arkansas, 37 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Charles Grant, William E. Crenshaw, Donald Grant, Floyd Grant, John Grant and Howard Grant.

Honorary pallbearers were her many friends.
