Charles' middle name, Johnston, was the surname of his great-grandmother Mary "Polly" Johnston who married Henry Burbank. Charles' mother, Lucy Ann Coggswell was b. c1829 in Maine but it is not yet known when she died or where buried. She was the second wife of his father. Charles evidently married several times and he married his last wife on 17 May 1922 in Perry, Noble Co. OK. She was Cynthia Jones, born c1866 in Pennsylvania.
