Moorehead Rites Held Tuesday; Burial at Hebron
Last rites were held at Hebron Baptist Church Tuesday morning at 11 for Van Buren Moorehead, farmer & grocery store owner of the Hesterville community, who died at the Montfort Jones Memorial hospital Monday after an illness of 6 months. He was 78.
Officiating at the funeral services was the Rev. C.E. Burden. Burial was in Hebron cemetery in Montgomery County, with Jordan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were grandsons. Mr. Moorehead was a native of Montgomery county. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Frances Day Moorehead, Hesterville; 3 daughters, Mrs. M. C.. Hodge, Gulfport, Mrs. W.T. Summerhill, Winona; & Mrs. D.N. Herrod, Vaiden; 2 sons, W.C. & Doty Moorehead,
both of West.
