The body of A. A. Thompson, Jr., aged 32 years, whose death occurred at Colorado Springs, Colo., several days ago, reached the city Saturday evening accompanied by his sister, Miss Lessa Thompson, a well known trained nurse of this city and was re-shipped over the Natchitoches branch of the Texas & Pacific yesterday afternoon to Natchitoches for interment.
The deceased was a resident of Natchitoches and had been in Colorado about two years seeking relief from the ravages of tuberculosis.
Upon arrival here Saturday with the remains of her brother, Miss Thompson's many friends among the local physicians and nurses and others rendered her all service possible to make her burden of grief and trouble lighter.
The deceased who was formerly a valued clerk in the post office here, was born and reared at his plantation home in East Natchitoches and has many friends in this parish who will be grieved to hear of his untimely death. His remains were laid to rest in the American Cemetery on Sunday afternoon.
