Keith William Cornwell passed away on Friday, June 27, 2008 in Lawton, OK at the age of 79. He was born June 14, 1929 in Platteville, WI to William and Velma (Johnson) Cornwell. He was united in marriage to Betty May Slaght on September 30, 1950 in Platteville, WI.

He entered the United States Navy on January 9, 1951. He was a Navy Sea Bee and operated heavy equipment and had been stationed in New Foundland. He was honorably discharged on October 29, 1954 as CD2 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He had been a professional blade man ever since, retiring as early as last year at the young age of 77. He lived in Wisconsin for many years before moving to Arizona in 1988 and then to Frederick, OK in December of 2007. We will miss talking to Dad as he was very knowledgeable about many things. He was a man who never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Betty, of the home; two daughters: Wanda Kidwell and husband Clay, of Washington, Christine Marx and husband Darryl, of Wisconsin; three sons: John Cornwell and wife Donna, of Wisconsin, Wayne Cornwell and wife Marlene, of Wisconsin and Chris Cornwell, of Wisconsin; a sister: Joyce Scott, of Michigan; nine grandchildren: Terry, Devina, Carissa, Keeley, Michelle, Sarah, Michael, Tyler and Ian; and six great grandchildren: Brianna and Joshua Kidwell, Ethan, Connor and Jacob Hoffman and Jayden Ridgeman.
